The band 'Vai' includes Devin Townsend who provides the vocals and is a prestigious talent, drummer and fellow Frank Zappa alumnus Terry Bozzio and bassist T. M. Stevens. 'Sex & Religion' is a journey through the good and bad of both, containing all the rip roaring solo's and some of the best textures you are ever likely to hear from Vai. For guitarists, however, there is some great stuff to get your teeth into. 'Here And Now', 'Still My Bleeding Heart' (the solo has one of Vai's coolest tones recorded) and 'Rescue Me Or Bury Me' are particular standouts. A nearly 60 minutes monster production from a monster band.
