Fakta It has now been 19 years since label founder Thomas Ruf first sent three artists signed to his label out on the road together as the Blues Caravan. Back then, Sue Foley, Candye Kane and Ana Popovic formed the original lineup of this touring concept. For the 2024 edition of the package tour, the torch was carried by Katarina Pejak, Eric Johanson and Ruf Records newcomer Alastair Greene, once again supported by a tight, two-piece rhythm section. As in previous years, the concerts followed the proven Blues Caravan format: the show opened with a joint performance by all three artists, followed by individual sets drawn from each musician's own repertoire, before everyone returned to the stage together for a shared finale. These closing moments featured collective performances of songs such as Dr. John's dark Voodoo hymn ?I Walk On Gilded Splinters? and the Elmore James classic ?One Way Out,? a staple of the Allman Brothers' live sets.
