My order is labeled as a backorder and is taking some time
If an item is not in stock it is immediately ordered from the distributor. Meanwhile, its order status is set to "backorder". It normally takes 1-2 business days before we recieve an item from the distributor, and an additional day before it's shipped from our warehouse. If the distributor is also out of stock on the item it will unfortunately take some more time, depending on whether the item will need to be re-pressed or not. Common items, however, don't take much time at all. If you want to know whether or not we have an item in stock, please feel free to email us or give us a call.
Imports have longer delivery times. It usually takes 1-2 weeks to recieve an item from the US. Sometimes it takes a bit longer, but it is in both ours and our import supplier's interest to deliver orders as fast as possible.
I want to add/cancel an item on my order
Adding items to your order within 24 hours of placing the original order is fine, as long as the order status is "pending order". (You'll find your order status here). To cancel certain items or entire orders, please contact us by phone or email. Cancelling is not possible through our website. When cancelling by email, please enter "Cancellation of order" into the subject line. Imports can't be cancelled unless it has taken more than two weeks and they are still not delivered.
Claims
Is your item damaged or faulty upon delivery? Please contact us by phone or email and we'll help you get a flawless copy instead. Please let us know your customer account number and the invoice number in order to speed up the process. Customer account number and invoice number can be found at the upper left corner of your invoice. Please contact us before you send us any items.
Who pays for shipping on a backorder?
You only have to pay for the shipping of one order. In case of backorders, any items delivered after the initial shipment will be shipped free of charge.
Password & registration
When you register as a new customer, you choose your own username and password. The username must consist of at least 6 letters and maximum 30 letters. The password must consist of at least 6 and maximum 15 alphanumeric characters and must contain both letters as well numbers.
Have you forgotten your password? Just click here and enter your email address, and you will recieve a new, temporary and automatically generated password that you can change to a password of your choice after logging in.
When registering as a new customer, please choose "private person" and enter name, postal address (including country), phone number and email address. Also choose a username and password. You can easily change your information later on, except for name and username. A confirmation email will be sent to your email address before the registration is completed. Please contact us if you need to change name or username!
Security
We offer secure payment with credit cards or debit cards. On the page where you enter your credit/debit card, we use a 128-bit encryption to protect your information. If you want to make sure that the page is encrypted, just right-click and choose "properties" in the menu. The box that appears states that it is a TLS page 1.0, RC4 with a 128-bit encryption, RSA 1024-bit key.
Concerning customer information, all passwords are encrypted in our database.
Our web shop uses cookies. Browsing through our online store without cookies is possible, however shopping is not. We use cookies for the handling of the items in your shopping cart.
Returns policy
Our online customers may return items within 14 days of recieving the shipment. In case of regretting a purchase, you will have to pay for the return shipping yourself. The address for returns is at the top of this page. When returning any item(s), please enclose your invoice/delivery note (or a copy) in order to speed up the process. In the case of returning items paid for with a debit card, the sum of your purchase will be re-inserted to the bank account to which your debit card is connected.
I want to order signed copies in advance, how do I go about it?
Occasionally we offer the possibility to pre-order signed copies of new records. In these cases it is clearly stated in the order form/web shop that the record is in fact signed by the artist.
When an artist does an in-store signing at Bengans, there is no possibility to book or order any signed copies in advance as we don't know beforehand if the artist will have time to sign any extra copies. Afterwards, however, any signed copies left will be put up for order in our web shop. Don't hesitate to contact us after we've had an in-store appearance if you want to know if there are any signed copies left.
I've found a record at allmusic, but not in your online store. Why?
A lot of the records you'll find at allmusic.com are out of print. These records are no longer being made, and can therefore not be ordered from any of our suppliers. Web sites like allmusic.com are to be regarded as directories of records that have been released, rather than an index of what is available.
